  • My brain is NOT in fact going to rot away.

So the neurologist said we should leave the Pineal cyst alone and just do occassional MRI's to make sure its not changing.  I suppose if it starts giving me problems ever they will have to do surgery to remove it, but it isn't bugging me now really.  He also said I don't have what my mom has.... yet.  He seemed surprised that my mom is the only one in the family to have Spino-cerebellar degeneration/ ataxia since it "runs in families".  So in other words I still might get it, but so far so good.  So, in the words of Jodie Foster in Contact, one of my favorite movies, "I'm ok to go".  6 days and I will be headed for France.

To those of you who actually read this, let me know if you want added to my email updates list.  I may write on here from time to time if I have any juicy stories I don't want my family to see, but the day to day stuff will be in the weekly or bi-weekly emails.

  • So I have my visa and there are only a couple more things to before I leave for France, which consists mostly of getting all my paperwork for Spain ready.

In other news the concussion has healed but I have to have an MRI because my catscan showed a possible cyst or lesion in my brain. Excellent timing, eh? Odds are it is not life-threatening, but still its not fun to learn you have something unusual going on in your head. Oh well. I guess maybe the concussion was a good thing after all.

Hope everyone has a good weekend!

Long story made short:  Pole fell on my head at work = I have a concussion and whiplash.  So, I'm ok but still trying to recover.

Going to the French Consulate on Wednesday, yay for fun with Carl and Chicago.

Still trying to get all the paperwork in order.  I haven't finished filling out my forms cause they are in French and I haven't been able to concentrate on them.

I leave for France in 36 days!!!!!!!!!
